The substrate must be well cured, mechanically and dimensionally stable, strong, clean, dry and free from flaking parts, laitance, grease, oil, paint, wax, corrosion deposits, dust, loose materials, etc. It should be ensured that tiles are dry, and free of contaminants that could impair adhesion. Concrete, screeds, renders, and blockwork should be cured sufficiently that all shrinkage movement has occurred
Minimum age of the substrate (In mild weather):
- Renders must have cured at least 1 week for each centimeter of thickness
- FloorPro Rapid Screed (rapid setting cementitious screed) must have cured at least 3 days
- FloorPro Easy Screed (normal cementitious screed) must have cured at least 28 days
Note: The screed drying time is subject to the screed thickness and site conditions
