The substrate must be well cured, mechanically strong, clean, dry and free from flaking parts, grease, oil, paint, wax, corrosion deposits, loose materials, etc. Grit blast or hydro blast if required. On ferrous surfaces, rust must be removed by sand-blasting. Moisture content of the substrate should not be higher than 5% and any necessary repair work should be carried out prior to tile installations
TilePro EP Adhesive
High performance epoxy adhesive for all types of wall and floor tiles, natural stone, glass mosaics and agglomerates
Description
TilePro EP Adhesive is a two-component, high build, solvent free, thixotropic epoxy resin-based, high strength adhesive mortar for permanent bedding of all types of tiles, natural stones and agglomerates. When the two components are mixed together, a thixotropic mix is obtained which can be easily applied, even on vertical surfaces, at a thickness of up to 1 cm in one single coat.
Additional Information
| Applicable Standards/ Compliance: | Packaging: | Colours: | Coverage/ Yield: |
| Meets the classification requirements of American ANSI A118.3 ISO 13007 & BS EN 12004, classified as R2T - improved (2) slip-resistant (T) resin based (R) adhesive | 10 kg & 20 kg unit. | Grey & White | 1.5 kg (1 litre) per m² @ 1 mm thickness.* This coverage is theoretical & depends upon the surface profile of the substrate & the wastage. |
Typical Applications
- For Indoor and Outdoor use
- For Walls, Floors and Ceilings
- For areas where medium to heavy duty trafficability is required in hygienic and corrosive environments.
- Wherever a high degree of chemical resistance and high mechanical properties are required.
- Particularly useful in fixing tiles in swimming pools (concrete and GRP), fountains, stone features, hot springs, wet areas, baths in hospitals, public or wellness areas, etc.
- For tiling on special substrates such as metal, marble doorsteps, etc.
- For chemical-resistant and water- impermeable laying of wall and floor coverings made of ceramic tiles, porcelain, glass mosaics, bricks, and stone materials on all substrates normally used in the building industry like renders, cement screeds, concrete & timber chipboards
- For applications in food and soft drinks industry (production, dairies, bakeries, fruit canning, meat & fish processing, breweries, fat processing industries, canteen kitchens, etc.) paper mills, laboratories and hospitals, hotels and schools, toilets.
- For applications in Industrial floors and walls (car showrooms, battery rooms, galvanization, electrical substations and plants rooms, purification plants, dye works, bleaching works, tanneries, butcheries, slaughter-houses, administration buildings, sewage plants, sewers, cattle stabling and for stairs exposed to de-icing salt)
Benefits
- Low VOC emission designed tile adhesive
- No need for primer
- Waterproof, Stain resistance, Non-absorbent
Thoroughly mix the base ‘Part A’ prior to adding the hardener ‘Part B’ using a slow speed drill (350 rpm) fitted with an suitable mixer Paddle. After mixing the base, add all the hardener and mix for a further 3 minutes or until both components have fully dispersed and are uniform in color. Be sure to rotate the mixer throughout the drum. The ratio between the two components is compulsory, and any modification may cause the product to harden incorrectly

Cleaning:
Tools, equipment and mixers with clean water immediately after use (before hardening). Cured material can only be removed by mechanical means. Similarly, joints must be raked out in readiness for grouting
Finishing:
Remove excess adhesive with a damp cloth before material has set.
Protection:
Protect floors from foot traffic for at least 72 hours after installation. Stepping boards may be used after 24 hours when occasional stepping on the floor is unavoidable.
Recommendations:
- Try to avoid application during the hottest times of the day, and in direct sunlight.
- Do not add water, fillers or solvents to TilePro EP Adhesive to increase workability.
- Use the product at temperatures between +10°C and +30°C.
- Do not part mix packs.
- The substrate moisture content must be ≤ 5% moisture content, with no rising moisture
