Substrate Preparation
Product Preparation

The two components of SealPro PU 280 are supplied in the correct proportions for mixing. Add the entire contents of the colour pack and hardener component into the base container and mix together thoroughly for three minutes using a slow speed drill (300 to 500 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle. Ensure any settlement is thoroughly dispersed. The sides of the container should then be scraped down to ensure that any unmixed components do not remain. Mixing should then continue for a further 2 minutes

Product Application

Pour the SealPro PU 280 directly into the prepared joint using a spouted container, or other suitable means. It may be practical and convenient to fill narrow grooves using a sealant gun. Pour into the prepared joint to the required level.  The mixed material can be poured into a Barrel gun and applied to the joint. if the joint width prohibit direct pouring from the container

It may be necessary after a few minutes to top up the level of the sealant to concave shape after it has flowed into all joint irregularities. Finally, strip off any masking tape that may have been used

Others

Finishing:

In order to displace any air bubbles present in the sealant caused by mixing and also as an aid to good adhesion, it is advisable, immediately after the SealPro PU280 has been installed, to finish by tooling with a rounded spatula or similar object. The outermost surface of the sealant should be finished with a slightly concave profile. On no account must moistened fingers be used. Protect the finished seal from inclement weather until initial set has taken place and the surface skin is clearly visible. Finally, strip off any masking tape that may have been used

Cleaning:

Clean tools immediately after use with Solvent. Cured sealant can be removed only by mechanical means.

Any spillages of SealPro PU 280 should be absorbed immediately onto sand, sawdust or other suitable absorbent materials and disposed in accordance with local regulations.

Storage & Shelf Life:

12 months if stored in original unopened containers in a cool dry environment at ambient temperatures below 25°C. Do not store in direct sunlight. Storage above this temperature may reduce storage life
