Description
PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar is a ready-mix cementitious mortar that requires only the addition of water on site. It is made of Portland cement, graded sand and additives for improved workability, bonding and water retention. When mixed with water, PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar produces a workable mortar that generates, once cured, a high adhesive power between blocks.

Typical Applications
PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar can be used for laying for mounting regular/hollow blocks, stones, and bricks and to fill gaps between concrete and bricks. In internal and external application
Benefits
- Easy to mix and apply, just add water.
- Ideal for internal and external application.
- Excellent strength and adhesion between blocks.
- Suitable for hot weather.
- Excellent workability
- High water retention
- High Adhesive properties
- Shrinkage resistant
- Optimum mechanical properties
- Add PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar bag of 50 kg into a container of 7.5 litres of clean water.
- Mix until a uniform lump free consistency mix achieved.
- Leave the mix to stand for 5 minutes and remix before uses.
- Use low speed mechanical mixer (200-300 rpm) with a suitable mixing paddle.
- The mixture remains workable for one hour after mixing at 25°C.
Curing:
Protect the newly applied material from sunshine and wind. The new material has to be cured with water for at least three days by spraying 3 to 4 times daily.
Cleaning:
Clean with water before the product dries
- Apply the layer of PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar to the face of the block using a trowel, after wetting block surface.
- Place the new block to the mortar bed ensuring good contact and apply pressure till the mortar oozes.
- Check the level and continue with the next block. PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar will set in 30 minutes allowing the second line of block to be installed in the same procedure
- Remove excess material with a wet sponge before setting.
- Try to avoid application during the hottest times of the day, and in direct sunlight.
- In hot weather use cold water to bring the mixed material temperature to <30°C.
- In cold weather use warm water to raise the mixed material temperature to >10°C.
- Do not add water or fresh mortar to material which has begun to set. Just remix again for 1-2 minutes.
- Do not proceed with the application when rainfall is imminent unless in a sheltered or protected situation.
- The product should not be exposed to moving water during application or prior to initial set.
- In hot weather, the surface receiving PlasterPro Concrete Block Mortar should be brushed with some water immediately prior to application.
- Not suitable for fix concrete normal block.
- Not suitable to bond fresh concrete to old concrete
- Care should be taken in order not to mount blocks if a dry skin has already formed on the freshly applied mortar
- Keep 2cm. gap at the topend of the well below the slabs or the beam. Fill the gap with comprisable material.
- The possible humidity rise is expected in the floor, it is recommended to apply proper damp course coating.
- Mix only sufficient material that can be applied using available labour and equipment to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted application.
