Where To Buy- Preliminary hazard: Hot burns when supplied in bulk
- Necessary care must be taken during storage, handling, transportation & application of product.
- Do not ingest, breathe fumes or vapours.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
- Product tanks may be heated by hot oil, electricity or flame tubes.
- Bitumen temperature should be kept at least 30°C below flash point.
- Do not exceed the recommended maximum temperature of 150°C in order to avoid degradation of the product and fuming.
- Do not allow water or any liquid to contact with hot product since this could cause splashing of hot material or boil-over.
- Concentration of H2S in tank headspaces may reach hazardous values, especially under prolonged storage.
- When product is pumped from a storage tank or road tanker, care should be taken no to expose hot heater tubes unless sufficiently cooled to avoid the risk of fire or explosion.

Description
North Bitumen 60-70 is a standard Penetration grade of ASTM D946M, used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties particularly in road constructions and other similar applications. This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Penetration Grades of Bitumen are produced from Vacuum Residue

Typical Applications
North-Bitumen 60-70 is blended with aggregates on-site under engineer’s instructions and supervision. The combination is mixed to form hot mix asphalt. Once done, the mixed material is then applied for paving of roads or pavements. The product must be applied in accordance with /Consultant’s requirements and project specification as applicable.
